Share Your Intimate Concerns
Caring for intimate health is our specialty. The more you share, the more we know to personalize the care you need.
The Stoehr Center: Making a Sanctuary for Sexual Health
We’re a practice for vagina owners, by vagina owners, who need a refuge of healing. We specialize in healing pelvic and intimate pain problems—but we are also passionate about overall healthcare for every person we see.

At the Stoehr Center, we see patients from all backgrounds and identities. Some patients travel to us from across the globe to receive our comprehensive attention to healing. All patients come to our practice in need of an expert guide through sexual health and wellness. Somebody they can rely upon, who will listen, and bring them closer to a sense of sexual harmony in this world and their bodies.
Our Founder and CEO, Dr. Stoehr, checks all the boxes for the type of medical practitioner our patients need on their side: studious, determined, informed, and kind. But checking boxes is far from how she approaches her patients’ pain-related and sexual wellness concerns.
Dr. Stoehr, MD, FACOG, builds an authentic connection with every patient who walks through our practice doors. She and our team lead each consultation with a functional approach to care. Instead of relying heavily upon prescriptions for managing pain and other temporary solutions, we take time to understand your health story. This gives our pelvic pain specialists in Frisco the perspective to offer treatments that not only address your conditions but also work to support your whole body.
It All Started With Gynecology
Dr. Stoehr is a trained, board-certified OB/GYN who obtained her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine.
She has years of experience in the field of sexual health and medicine. Her first medical job was at a health center partially funded by the federal government. Here, she noticed an evolving trend of many women struggling with pelvic pain issues. As her career developed, she found her niche as a pelvic pain specialist in Frisco.
The books she’s published on managing pelvic pain, like When it Hurts Down There and the WIHDT Cookbook showcase her holistic approach to intimate health and extend an olive branch of pain relief to her readership.
She’s made guest appearances on sexual health podcasts like The Swing Nation, Sex Talk With Erika Miley, and The Sage in Time. These have given her a platform to express the importance of a safe, fun, and informed sex life to listeners who share an interest in sexual wellness.
We Take Pelvic Pain Seriously
Pelvic pain is an often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and overlooked condition in medicine. Our pelvic pain specialists in Frisco approach the process of pain identification, treatment, and management with close attention to the details.
Pain starts in the body, travels up the spinal cord, and is processed in the brain. This process happens in every single person experiencing acute or chronic pain. And this is only the beginning. Our team’s deep understanding of pain and how our patients can take steps through diet and lifestyle changes sets us apart in medicine. Yes, we offer classic methods of pain intervention when appropriate, like for endometriosis. But we go a step further. We address pain at the root cause.
Our center welcomes patients who’ve tried everything and gone everywhere seeking a way to ease their pain. They can find refuge at The Stoehr Center with our pelvic pain specialist in Frisco.
Let’s Talk About Sex
At The Stoehr Center, we believe talking about sex should be a comfortable, positive, and empowering experience, inclusive of all sexual orientations and lifestyles.
According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), nearly 3 out of 4 people with vaginas have pain during intercourse at some time during their lives. If you’re facing discomfort or seeking to energize your sexual pleasure, we’re here to help. When you visit us, we’ll talk with you at length about your sex life, discussing everything from intimacy to the differences between a good orgasm and an amazing one. We offer personalized recommendations, inclusive of all lifestyles, including foreplay tips, kink, BDSM, and even recommending new toys to spice up play in the bedroom.
Our team supports patients dealing with vaginismus, orgasm disorders, and other sexual health challenges, helping them rediscover the healing power of a satisfying sex life. Pain during sex can also be a sign of a gynecologic problem, such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or adenomyosis. Don’t fret—we’re skilled sexual health sleuths, trained to detect and address even the slipperiest of issues. With the right help, you can get back to enjoying sex the way you want to.
